ALAINE
ALAINE, vivacious singer-songwriter-producer-actor, has established herself in the international Jamaican music industry as a true talent. Her warm bubbly personality, effervescent smile and unforgettable hooks have placed her in a league of her own. ALAINE released two successful albums in Japan – ‘Sacrifice’ (Avex, 2007) and ‘Luv-a-Dub’ (Koyashi Haikyu, 2009) and many of her songs have been included on leading Reggae compilations including VP Records' ‘Strictly the Best’.
‘You Are Me’ was voted ‘Song of the Year’ at the Kingston 10 Reggae Awards in Kenya and the music video, remained at #1 on the MTV Base Africa dancehall charts for several weeks. Collaborations include ‘Nakupenda Pia’ with Kenyan artiste Wyre that generated over 300,000 You Tube views in 3 weeks and ‘Lighters Up’ with I’Octane.
